Why WooCommerce?

For those who consider content (blog, lookbook, storytelling) just as important as selling, WooCommerce is the logical place: one CMS for your whole site, no second system to learn.

WooCommerce suits shops up to a few thousand orders per month with a manageable catalogue well. Above that we tend to look at Shopify or Magento.

We work for clients throughout the Netherlands, at our office in Ede, at your location or via Zoom. One team for the technology and the marketing.

WordPress-driven

The difference: content and commerce in one.

WooCommerce builds on WordPress. You manage content and products in the same familiar CMS, with the full WordPress block editor and an open plugin ecosystem.

FAQ

Questions about WooCommerce.

The questions we get back almost every quote week.

Why WooCommerce instead of Shopify?

WooCommerce wins when content and commerce go hand in hand and you want to manage everything in one WordPress CMS. For pure, fast-scaling shops with international ambitions we look at Shopify.

What does a WooCommerce shop cost?

From €3,000 for a tidy shop with a custom theme. More extensive shops with integrations run up to around €8,000. We determine the final price in the intake.

Do you use Elementor or Divi?

No. We build with the native block editor and ACF Pro for maintainable, fast sites. Page builders like Elementor/Divi make sites slow and hard to hand over.

How long until launch?

Typically 6–10 weeks. We work in sprints with demos, so you can adjust along the way.

Does this work with large catalogues (5000+ products)?

WooCommerce can handle a lot with the right hosting and optimisation, but for very large catalogues or high order volume we often advise Magento or Shopify.

Which hosting do you recommend?

We provide managed hosting tuned for WooCommerce, with caching, CDN and daily backups. Hosting is part of our maintenance as standard.

Other platforms

Prefer a different platform?

We build on the other platforms too.

Why choose a WooCommerce webshop?

A WooCommerce webshop offers a flexible and scalable solution for selling online. As an extension of WordPress, the most widely used Content Management System in the world, WooCommerce integrates seamlessly with a broad range of plugins and functionality. This makes it an ideal choice for both starting entrepreneurs and established SMBs that need a robust, adaptable e-commerce solution. At Exceptis, operating from Ede and serving SMBs across the Netherlands, we understand that your webshop is more than just a point of sale; it is an extension of your brand and an essential part of your operations. We make sure your WooCommerce webshop is not only visually appealing but also technically optimised for performance and ease of use. Want to know more about the possibilities for your business? 02

Our approach to your WooCommerce project

Every WooCommerce webshop development project at Exceptis starts with a thorough analysis of your specific business goals and target audience. We discuss your wishes, the desired functionality and the integrations needed to optimise your business processes. This can range from a standardised webshop with basic functionality to a complex custom solution with connections to your ERP system, inventory management or marketing tools. Our experienced developers ensure a solid technical foundation, an intuitive user experience and a design that reflects your brand identity. We guide you throughout the entire process, from concept to launch and aftercare. We have already helped more than 300 clients since 2013 and are rated 5.0 stars by 56 customers on Google.

03

Customisation and integrations

The power of WooCommerce lies in its flexibility. This allows us to deliver custom solutions that fit your unique operations perfectly. Think of specific product configurators, advanced pricing rules, or integrations with external systems such as CRM, accounting software or logistics partners. For the bike industry, for example, we delivered a custom Cyclesoftware integration. For Smeg Store Amsterdam we also carried out an extensive WooCommerce version upgrade, including a full theme redevelopment and a StockFlow integration. These deep integrations ensure your webshop not only sells effectively but also makes your internal processes more efficient, saving you time and costs. We are happy to think along with you about the possibilities for your specific sector.

04

From design to SEO optimisation

A successful WooCommerce webshop is more than just a functional platform; it must also be findable for your audience and offer a pleasant experience. That is why we pay a lot of attention to the design and usability (UX) of your webshop. We also integrate SEO optimisation from the start of the development process. This means your webshop is technically optimised for search engines and that we advise you on content strategy to achieve high positions in Google. For Fixpack our approach resulted in multiple top-10 positions. A well-optimised webshop attracts more visitors, which leads directly to more potential customers and higher revenue. 05

Costs and maintenance of your WooCommerce webshop

The cost of developing a WooCommerce webshop varies depending on the complexity, functionality and the customisation required. A basic webshop typically ranges between €3,000 and €8,000. After launch, good maintenance is essential for the security, speed and stability of your webshop. We offer various maintenance packages that ensure your WooCommerce installation stays up to date, security patches are applied and any issues are resolved quickly. This guarantees optimal operation and minimises downtime so you can focus on your core activities. For De-mark.nl, besides the WooCommerce webshop, we also handled the hosting migration and a Swan product-feed integration.
